If you were playing a 3 digit, 618 for example, if you box it, you would win if 816 or 681, or 186, etc. came up. playing it straight you only win if the number comes up exactly as you played it. Boxing is a smaller pay-out, but you win as long as the digits you picked come up in any sequence.
