We are playing a game of Texas Holdem this weekend. There is 1 player that is a good friend, but is an a$$hole when the cards come out. We just want to teach him a bit of a lesson during 1 game.

Can you think of a way that the other 3/4 of us can work as a team to guarantee his loss?

Some things I'm thinking are: 1) Everyone fold whenever he bets. 2) Make sure we cut the cards only when he is dealing.

If you can think of any other strategies, please let me know.

Thanks.

  1. if you know the hands wich is good insted of all 3 of yous all betting for the pot if one of yous think that you have a good hand coughhh and let the other 2 fold making it look like he has a good hand,,, also chip passing if one of the 3/4 of yous is loosing chips and yous go head to head put in for a amount of chips and fold there for yous are evening each other outh wit the chips wich gives yous more of an advantage :) best of luck any ways boss..

  2. Some common forms of collusion are: soft play, that is, failing to bet or raise in a situation that would normally merit it, because you don't want to cost your partner money; whipsawing, where partners raise and reraise each other to trap players in between; dumping, where a cheater will deliberately lose to a partner; and signalling, or trading information between partners via signals of some sort, like arranging their chips in a certain manner or holding their hands in a predermined way.  Any form of collusion will ultimately depend on your ability to plan beforehand and arrange signals and responses.  It's probably more trouble than it's worth.

  3. Why not just beat him up and take his money?

Cut the cards only when he is dealing?  How is that going to help?  You are good enough to stack the deck while shuffling?  Then you wouldn't need to ask help to cheat.

  4. If you are trying to cheat him, then you could knock him out in one set up hand.  First off, have two decks that are identical.  Use one deck for regular play. Stack the other one before hand.  Also, once it is stacked, you might want to deal it out and make sure it all works, remembering your burn cards. When the time is right and it is your deal, wait until he is not looking and switch the decks.  Perhaps wear cargo shorts with the stacked deck in your pocket. Have it set up where he has pocket aces and you get pocket kings.   Let the flop come out king ace king.  He just flopped the best full house possible, but you have the four kings.  Just make sure the last ace is burried in the deck so it doesn't come out on the turn or river.   He is going to want to bet big, but may slow play it to try and trap.  Just make sure all his chips end up in the pot before its over.

  5. create a set of hand signals or betting signals (i.e.  if one of you bets exactly 1750 in chips this means he has a high pocket pair, or A-K  ect..)
