When ppl wear extensions or wigs, can ppl tell they're fake? and if ppl can, is that embarrasing?

i'm more concerned about extensions, not wigs.

If done right..No they can't tell...and personally, I wouldn't find it embarassing if it was..but that's me, as almost everyone has them. It depends on the person..

More often than not.  But, it is not embarrasing.  Not all people wear it because they don't have enough hair.  At least for black people that is not always the issue.  It's just another option and can be fun. You can do a style that might mess up your own hair or add color tracks and not color your own hair.  Short today, long tommorrow.  What is embarrasing is when it looks bad, old, tired.

To be honest, glue in extensions are more obvious cause they look like rats tails.

The best is to get clip in real human hair extensions. They are the most realistic , easier to apply, and when you don't wanna wear them all you got to do is just unclip them. Unlike the glue in's, your hair falls out when they come out too, it's heated glue on your hair so u can imagine the dmage, and they can hurt, and are a pain in the *** trying to take out!

Way more expensive too !=) x

You have to have the right hair texture(extensions , weave or wigs) so that the hair blends. With braiding you must catch the hair at the scalp(roots). Some wigs need a lil oil sheen. If it is for a medical reason no no no. All others might be embarrassed. It depends on the person.

It depends on how it is blended. I and wear straight extensions. People are ignorant and assume that people of certain races can't grow long hair. Therefore they have to ask me and 9 times out of 10 say I would have never none. I put it in myself.

It depends.

When someone wears extensions if their not real hair it definitely looks fake, same with wigs. But if it looks good with the natural color sometimes it just blends in. My advice would be keep your natural hair, and save extensions/.wigs for special nights out and things like that, if you really want to use them. Because its true someone could be playing with your hair `like a boyfriend` and then a huge piece of hair falls out in his hand, not cute.

it all depends on the quality of the extension... if it is real human hair they cannot tell they are fake, and it will not be embarrassing... but if the extension is low quality and is made out of cheap supples..it will be easy to tell.

I wear extensions alot. You just have the right person to do it so it doesn't look fake. Make sure it blend with your hair. And to me its not embarrassing. i could care less if people know its extension . Obviously they will find out if one week my hair is shoulder length and the next week its down my back. So if your a sensitive person it will be embarrassing to you. But you shouldn't really care as long as you know you look good.

One time i got it done so good nobody could tell it was fake they thought i cut my hair when i took them out.

yea. People can tell. People Like Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgen, and Ashley Tisdalle have extensions. Ugh. Haha. I think it would be VERY emabarrising, just imagine walkin down a hall and your hair falling out, or someone accidently pulls your hair and a long extension comes out. UGH!! haha =]
