Usually, jalapeno peppers are used in Mexican dishes, but is there any reason why they can't be used in Chinese dishes. I was thinking of adding them to a beef stir. Please advise!

  1. I'm Chinese and we don't use jalapeno in our dishes.  Instead, we use bell peppers or chiles.

  2. no i wouldn't but you can add bell peppers

  3. They are actually very good in stir fry, and would go great with a beef stir fry.  Enjoy!

  4. Sure, add them if you like.  If you like the flavor but less heat, take out the seeds in the chilies.

BTW, I'm Chinese and believe me, there are regional cuisines of China that are known for their spiciness, such as Sichuan food.

  5. you can add them if you want...to me that is not weird and i do it all the time...
