  1. Look for a rich woman.

  2. ask at your local model shop, they should advise you. do you want remote control, glider etc.?...

  3. a parachute lol

  4. When I bought my planes I spent a lot of time going over the log books before I even saw the planes (well some of them)

But do spend a lot of time looking at the logs and making sure all the AD's are up to date, etc.

  5. there needs to be at least ONE wing on each side of the aircraft. extras like real rubber tires and a see-thru windshield are nice. some type of internal combustion powerplant will up the resale value if you ever decide to sell.

  6. Corrosion, hours on engine, hours on airframe, damage history, AD's complied with to name a few.

  7. The first thing to look for is YOUR PILOT'S LICENSE... which I seriously DOUBT THAT YOU HAVE... anyone with a pilot's license would KNOW the answer to your question/

  8. I would look for an aircraft mechanic to go over the plane. There is only so much that you can check even with a pilot's license. An A&P knows what to look for under all those panels.

  9. I would take it to a good AMO. Have a PPI done and then make a decision

  10. dont buy one. It'll probably cost you more to buy than to rent. Don't forget when u buy one, u have to include hanger storage, maintenance, repairs for when you crash it, ect.

  11. WINGS ?!?!?!!?!?

  12. You need to look for a qualified, extremely fussy Licensed aircraft mechanic who is going to save you from buying a money pit, by thoroughly inspecting it and providing vital information you will need to pursue the deal or RUN away from it.. There is nothing more important.

  13. Hi. First start by looking at the airframe hours, landings and engine hours. Do not only go for looks. Looks does not stay in the air!! It is HIGHLY IMPORTANT to look at ALL the maintenance done on the aircraft. Make sure that all SB's (service bulletins) and AD's (airworthynes directives) is - was done!!!

  14. You need to give the tyres a good kick !!

  15. First get a private pilot's license or else you wont be able to fly your new plane and that would be a bummer because planes are extremely expensive even for the small trainers.

Ask for the logbooks from the plane and check that it has been properly maintained, hasnt had any serious damage to it, have a certified mechanic give it a going over and tell you how it is mechanically. After you're certain that it is mechanically sound you can check the extra options (good interior and things like that)

Also make sure you have pleanty of money for maintinance, storage, fuel, insurance and generally anything else that could come up with the plane...they do get very expensive

    Good luck!
