Im replaceing the belt. I have removed the top cover, bottom front cover, and front drum/door cover.

After putting the belt around the drum, should I refasten the front drum/door cover to hold the drum inplace before attaching the belt to the pulleys?

The bottom front cover area does not allow much room to work with the pulleys, but Im thinking it will be difficult to get the drum in the proper place without the front drum/door cover being attached first.

  1. I've replaced the belt on my dryer before ... if you can access and replace the belt from where you are at the moment then do so and then replace all the covers in the order you took them off - and don't lose the screws!

if you can't access fitting the new belt as is then look to see what is blocking you you..
