  1. use "and" before any numbers up to 99,

    eg 1245 is One thousand, two hundred and thirty four

    1200 is One thousand, two hundred

    1201 is One thousand, two hundred  and one

  2. When read numbers,"and" should use when it dibided in to it's smaller numbers.

  3. I would only use "and" when I hit a decimal point.

    For example: 1234.56 would be "One thousand, two hundred thirty-four and fifty-six one-hundredths."

    Some people would stick an extra "and" before the thirty four: "One thousand, two hundred and thirty four and fifty-six one-hundredths".  When I was in school we were taught that was not correct, but things may have changed since then.

  4. before the last 2 numbers, if the number is over 100. If the number has decimals, you should put it before saying the decimals, regardless of how many digits are in the decimals:

    1000.0001 = one thousand AND one one-tenthousandths.

    1199 = One thousand, one hundred and 99

    1199.0001 = one thousand, one hundred 99 and one tenthousandths.

    There are many exceptions too. it is very common for numbers between 1000 and 9999 to be simply that number without an and: 1099 = one thousand, ninety-nine.

    For money, the and is always before the cents.

  5. what? please say it in a language i understand.

  6. if the question is when you read numbers, where should i put the ''and'', then you put the and between the last two numbers.
