I have a Panasonic SDR h18 when playing back the recorded videos on my computer, some videos will play with my windows media or nero, and others are not supported; however, it was taken with the same camera on the same day. Why does the video format change?

  1. Well it DEPENDS mostly on the Type of Video Format you use....it will automatically ASSOCIATE itself with certain programs that you have installed....

Now, I can give you an IN-DEPTH description of how to change FILE ASSOCIATIONS...but it's easier to tell you to go to your HELP button on Windows and have you do a text search on "Associate" or "Associating Files with Programs"

    The HELP button is so......HELPFUL.

I use it when I forget how to associate certain files with certain programs......

Now...if your camera isn't giving you all your recordings, that may be due to you NOT Saving or Closing your recording....and of course, that's depicted in your Camera Instruction manual on how to save your recordings.
