Question:

When replacing a positive car battery connection, it looks like it has cords....?

one running to the alternator(I think) and the other the fuse box( I think) what would be bhind the glove compartment box engine side? Does that sound correct for a 2001 Honda Accord ex? I just want to make sure before I start cutting things in my car.

  1. By cords I think you mean strands?

    In a battery cable, they make cables out of strands of wire.  This is to make the cable flexible.

    When you Cut the wires off the old clamp any wire you have to cut off should be reattached to the new clamp.. and yes one well go to the alternator (thats the charging wire) and the other wire most likely powers you acc. in the car.
