When replacing a pull rope on a mcculloch chain saw, is there somekind of keeper for the rope on the sprocket

  1. theres supposed to be a hole in it for the string and you tie it in a knot to keep it from coming out


  2. besides the hole that you knot to just wind up and hold on as you thread it though the cover hole. the handle is the real keeper   Don't forget to give it a couple extra turns to tension the spring before you thread it.
