  1. You might not loose any if you went home and laid on the couch and ate chips the rest of the day.

While in high school I ran ten to fifteen miles four to six days a week.  I was 5'11" and weighed 155.  Tall and skinny. lol

Two miles was a warm up.  If it is a lot right now, you can work up to it.  A little more each week.  Not too much too fast though or you will get injuries.  Don't forget to hydrate.  Good luck.

  2. probably 10 to 20 pounds if you ate healthy while you did it.

  3. Sounds like you're burning about 200 calories a day or 1,000 per week.  I've generally found that it takes about 2,000 extra calories of exercise to lose a pound, so I'm kind of the nay-sayer in this group, estimating your monthly loss as 2-3 pounds if you maintain healthy eating habits.

  4. you could potentially lose a good amount of weight. as long as you eat and drink healthy and live up to the excersize you'll do great. it depends on your current weight and metabalism as well. you would probably lose fat but remember that muscle weighs more than fat so gaining muscle would be a good thing. if you are looking for a phisical change, running will do well as you commit to it.

i hope i helped and best of luck!

  5. ud lose alot plus if u drank water n ate healthy... depends on ur metabolism though

  6. You need to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight.

I believe on average you'd have to burn an excess of 3500 calories to lose one pound.

The average person burns roughly 100 calories per mile (sometimes just a few over, but 100 is close enough). Pace doesn't really matter.

If your eating stays exactly the same, you'd burn 200 calories each day you run (beyond what you already burn) for 1000 per week. In a month you'd burn 4000, or in the ballpark of one to one-and-a-half pounds.

If you've been eating a lot of junk food and excess calories before, and also improve your diet while doing this running, you might be able to bump that up another couple pounds. Running regularly will also eventually increase your overall metabolism, so you could pick up a bit more that way as well.

But generally speaking, if your diet stays the exact same as now, you're looking at just over a pound lost in a month running 10 miles per week.

  7. probably around 10 - 15 lbs

  8. It depends. If your eating healthy then probably 15-20 pounds. If your not eating healthy then probably 5-10 pounds.
