  1. Come on people, stop confusing the issue.

You are correct. Initially you will build up muscle because each training session you do increases your muscle strength and this will initially increase the bulk. So it is quite common to put on weight first before you start losing it.

You need to eat well and keep a firm grip on what you eat. You lose weight when you use more calories then you intake, so while running uses the calories and you need to eat less than you use. The nice thing about running is it does use a lot of calories and you will hopefully get to a stage where you can eat a lot because you run it off.

Keep going. I always respect bigger people getting out running because it is harder than it is for me who enjoys running and is pretty thin. It takes a big effort from you.

    Congraduations

  2. okay stop diegthing try low fat diets ,................ try doing stairs that helps a lot and believe me i am a track and field teacher

  3. i think its the other way around, usually you lose the weight first to make room for some muscle. i suggest jogging a couple miles a day will help you lose the weight.

  4. If you're running distance you should burn fat faster.  If it's sprints you'll build muscle.  In either case your jeans will be tighter right after running because your legs are pumped full of blood.  Keep running, long slow distance will probably work best for you and eat a balanced diet of whole foods, not processed garbage.
