  1. hkey_local_machine is the Windows registry, a directory which stores settings and options for the Microsoft Windows XP and 2000. You need to update your anti virus or get adware or Tuneup utility 2008 which clear everything.. missing files in the registry could cause the problem..


  2. Might be some errror causing the hangtime. If it's just slowing down, it's typical.
