When selectors choose a Junior rugby league side, do they take into consideration size?

Just wondering if selectors of a junior league representative side take into consideration the size of the child before deciding wether or not to include them in the team. For eg. a smaller child may play really well, but has to miss out on selection because of his size due to a duty of care.

  1. if junior rugby leauge player is good enough to warrant selection then be it.it does not pick on sizes but the abilities to play the game highier expectations by those who selected them.

  4. the youngest age they start regulated scouting is about 13, at which point i dont think size has much to do with it because they let a lot of kids through in the younger stages.

    i know several smaller players playing for the younger divsions in nrl clubs
