  1. Pro-Pay or other merchant credit card companies.  Best thing to do is close down your eBay account and seek other ways to sell stuff.   I have been in the resale business for over 15 years myself, and never once have I heard of a situation as bad as what is happening at eBay.

Sounds like a big business entity that has grown too big for their own good.

  2. If you have an existing business, ask your bank to help you set up your merchant account to receive online payments for eBay items.

If you don't have a merchant account where buyers can pay you online, then yes, you must accept PayPal on all items you list on eBay.

  3. You do have to choose PayPal, but you can also choose other methods of payment.  This is a fantastic website I came across showing you exactly what's involved in listing items, take a look: http://ebayingtoearnmoney.blogspot.com/

  4. as of now you can accept personal checks, money orders, and cashier checks along with paypal if you want. BUT beginning in september ebay is changing all of that, soon they only way someone can pay you is either by paypal or direct credit card payment. if the item you are selling is a local pickup you can still use alternatives other than paypal.

ebay claims that 80% of dispute claims are filed when people pay with alternative forms of payment other than paypal..if you are asking if there is another program like paypal that you can use, well i doubt that ebay would let you use it even if there was because ebay would still be consider it an alternative form of payment. hope this helps, good luck!
