  1. you shouldnt

  2. In volleyball, it is illegal to serve with a closed fist overhand or jump serving! the only time you can serve with a closed fist, is if you're doing underhand serving! I should know because I have a friend that plays volleyball, I watch volleyball, and I used to play volleyball myself... AND I STILL DO!!!!! hope that helps you out...

  3. It is allowed to use a closed hand or a fist but it is not a proper way to do any kind of serves.

The primary contact area is the heel of your hand and for any kind of top spin serves, rest of your hand should follow through and hit the ball causing it to spin.

It is hard and ineffective to put spin in the ball with a fist.

Whether spiking or serving, always use open hand and hit the ball with the heel of your hand first.

  4. The problem with close fist approach in any kinds of service... Ahm, we can say that there is really a great force... But the risk is it has no control... Theres is no follow through approach same as the open fist... So when you do the close fist it is uncontrollable rather than the open fist...

But i do the close fist approach, sometimes in my attack so that when someone blocked me... My attack can be checked or slide though my opponents hand because theres a great spin in close fist... rather than the open fist... That's my technique

  5. You can, but it's not a good choice. With an open, flat hand, you can accurately aim the ball and you will overall have more control.

Hitting it with a closed fist may make the serve seem harder, but you will have almost no control over where the ball hits your hand. You can accidentally hit it off of a knuckle or two, serve out of bounds, and you just gave the team another point.

  6. yes you can serve with a fist but i wouldn't suggest it because it's not proper form. If you don't have enough strength just keep practicing it will make you get better

  7. you can do it, but i really dont recommend it, you lose all control

  8. You can but its not recommended because hitting the ball with a closed fist is harder to control.

  9. you can but it might not be that affective. also you could hurt ur thumb or some other finger. practice with an open hand. itll get easier as time goes on!

  10. Yes, you can. It is all legal.

It would show people that you are not so experienced... so why do you want to do it that way?
