The last day of my last period was July 4. On July 21st I had a little bit of brown discharge and wore light tampons for 2 days. There was maybe half the tampon that was light brown for the 2 days. Day 3 I had a little bit of red blood, but then small amounts of light pink and brown when I wiped for a total of 4 days. i haven't started my period. I am hoping this was implantation bleeding. I took an HPT and it was neg, but I know it was too early.

When should it test for the best accurate result. BTW, I had a weeks worth of cramping the week before all of this, which i am assuming was ovulation pain.

  1. You should be able to take one now and it be accurate. Try First Response HPT. They seem to be the most accurate the earliest according to the research I've done. You may have just had a light period. That happens sometimes to people who are under a lot of stress or work out a lot. Go ahead and take the test to be sure.

  2. Since your LMP was July 4, I would recommend testing on August 1 if your cycles are 28 days. Best of luck to you!

  3. First day of your next missed period.

A HPT should work 14 days past ovulation.

  4. Take a test only after missed period or 14+ days past ovulation if you known when you ovulated.

    Good luck.

  5. its best to test the day of your missed period
