Question:

When should I STOP SENDING letters to my boyfriend in Basic Training at Ft. Benning?

He graduates from Basic on September 11 and goes to Ft. Sam Houston on the 12th for AIT. I don't want to keep sending letters to Benning because I'm afraid they wont get to him on time. I was thinking I should stop sending them a week ahead of his graduation.

I'll continue writing the letters and probably just give them to him at family day. So... any idea how long before he leaves I should stop sending???

  1. Don't ever stop.  Even if a few don't reach him, you don't know how it brightens someone's whole week when they get mail during mail call at boot camp.

  2. Let him know what you're doing so he doesn't freak out at no mail.  Just FYI, any mail that gets to his basic training base after his departure will be sent on to him at Ft Sam.

  3. at least a week

  4. Aah i remember when my hubby was in Fort Benning,...

Well i stop sending letters just 9 days before, he did received all of my 57 letters :D

  5. That's about right. He'll be in the field all this week anyway.

  6. About a week out!
