When should I ask a boy who like out on a non-date date?

Right now (the last time I saw him was like a week ago), which I think was a good impression. Or should I ask him after school starts?

I KNOW he is g*y, or atleast bi. Is there any reason why I should be so hesitant. I don't know what I have to lose. It is not like the world will end... Will it? I have never been so distraught in my life over a crush. I really like him, I am just so afraid. And if he doesnt show interest, idk how i will not be awkward around him in the future. Please convince me of something.....

no just make sure you feel right first otherwise it is useless but cause you like him go for it

Mmmm....maybe you could try hanging out with him outside of school first and just suss it out. You could test the waters by casually asking him if he has a gf, he will probably tell you alot more with that question. And just try to see how he reacts to you in general. Mention that you have a g*y friend, see how he responds to that too.

You just need to ask him, whether its via note, text, email, myspace, just do it, if you don't you'll regret it later especially if you find out he liked you back :D
