When should I cancel my At&t cell phone plan?

When should I cancel it so that I only have to pay the $175 cancellation fee and not additional usage charges. I heard that in addition to the $175 people have to pay even more money for usage charges... So should I cancel my plan the same day I pay my bill for the month?

cancel it whenever they prorate your charges based on that amount of days of the month that you used the phone. so if you had a 40 dollar plan and you used it for half the month you pay 20 dollars. Hope that helps
