When should I clean my hamsters cage??

I usually clean my hamster's cage evry two weeks. Is this to long??

nahi personally clean it whenever it starts stinking (more than usual)

but i clean out their pee corners every day.. (this might help stench)

also freshen with new litter..

you shouldt have to change too  much if you do this

I would recommend you clean your hamster's cage about every week so the ammonia doesn't build up over time and cause your hamster to get sick. Also it depends on what cage you have. If you have a wire cage you could probably clean it every 1-2 weeks if  you use a aquarium you need to clean it every week...at least!

yes that is too long. especialy since hamsters store thier food. clean it once to twice a week and change the bedding about twice a week depending on what kind of hamster you have and how often it gets fresh fruits and veggie.

I have a mouse and I use shreded paper as bedding and usually clean it out two times every month or more just when it really starts to smell. but i have a pretty big cage so it is different.

i think you should clean your hamsters cage once a week so the dust and ammonia ( i htink thats how u spell it ) wont build up.

wen i had a hamster i cleaned it with a cloth, washing up liquid and some water. i was afraid if i used other chemicals it was do something to the sawdust which will do something to my hamster.

i would clean it every week just to be sure that ammonia build up doesnt cause your hamster to get respiratory infections

You should probably clean it about twice a week. Because the more time the p**p and urine sit in the cage the more it stinks. And it would also benefit the hamster better to have a nice clean cage where they

arent walking around in their own feices.

yeah.... i would lean it once or twice per week... leting it go longer than a week is unsanitary =/ oh and make sure u arent using pine or cedar bedding!!=]

i would clean it atleast ones i week b/c if not it you would have to give it a bath alot b/c its walking in its p**p and stuff....i say about a week
