Ive been conversing back and forth for about eight months now with a theatre group that Id like to join, well really just the main director lady. Mainly weve been conversing through emails, to the tune of about six or seven of them...

Now, Im confused about something. The last week of June, I emailed her because it had been awhile, and then the very next day she called and invited me to meet with some of them on the last weekend of June at a place they were working...and she emailed me with directions the day after she called. So both of those were pretty prompt, but what Im confused about is 1. before this, shes always been ssllooww to get back to me(the initial response took over a month), and 2. this is a theatre type troupe...aka theyre liiittllle...and me? Not so little(okay, pretty big)

So how do I know whether it was starting to pick up momentum and the ones I met quashed it by telling her my size, or whether its just going back to the usual pace?

  1. Kind of sounds like you're overthinking it... go to the meeting and see what they have to offer you. Meet some new people and decide if this is the group for you... don't worry what you look like... volunteers and actors come in all shapes and sizes.
