  1. I would say mid august........that way you know approximately how many to expect so you can organize the catering

  2. It should be about 4-6 weeks before the wedding.

I would say mid August so that allows 1-2 weeks for late senders. However, since you're asking this and it's almost the end of July, does that mean you haven't sent the invitations yet? In that case, you need to allow them at least a month to send them in. So a month from whenever you mail them.

  3. 10.4.08 ? I think thats American for 4th October thought you meant 10th April this year lol.(in UK we do it the other way around :) )

If you are getting married fairly near the beginning of the month then the RSVP should all be back by beginning of September, so I would send out the invitations middle of August giving them about 6 weeks to sort out whether they can go to your wedding or not.

    Good luck.

  4. I had my guests respond one month before the actual wedding date That gave me enough time to put the final touches together.

  5. I had my guests RSVP a month in advance. That gives you a week to call them and 3 weeks time to give the final count to your caterer.

  6. I'm getting married on the same day!!  Congratulations!!

I have asked my guests to RSVP by Friday September 5th - that's pretty much 4 weeks to the date of the wedding, so that gives you time to organize your numbers, doing seating cards, order food... all the good stuff!!

  7. Hi.  Usually your venue can help you with this.  When do they need the final "head count?"  Typically, they need your final count 1-2 weeks before the wedding.  So....give yourself a week leeway....so I would suggest your RSVP date could be 9/13/08, which would be 3 weeks before the wedding.

  8. Can I come too, i give nice wedding gifts $$$

  9. How soon does your finaly head count have to be in?  14 days or so?

I would send them out 8/9 (8 weeks) and request them back for 9/14 giving you time to call the stragglers.

    Great date!  Its my bday!

  10. at least 3 weeks before the wedding!

  11. You should send them beginning of August.  Give ample time for the guests to reply, about 3-4 weeks.  And also give enough time for the late senders as well, about 1-2 weeks.  And you'll have enough time to plan your seating chart.

    Good luck!

  12. Beginning of Sep.

  13. Generally invitations with a RSVP date should go out 6 weeks before the event.  Therefore, Invitation should go out by August 23rd, with a response date by September 20th...giving you 2 full weeks for late responses and setting your seating charts, etc... Hope this helped!  Congrat's and Best of Luck to you

  14. I am getting married the same day, and our RSVP date is MONDAY (the girl suggested that, sometimes ppl will throw them in the mail on Saturday)  September 1, 2008.

Even though I just realized that was Labor Day. :)

  15. Your invites should have a cut-off 2-weeks from the Wedding date.  That will still give you time to call all the lagers in the following week, and still get your food estimate into the caterer on time!

    Good Luck!
