At what time and day should I hold my eBay auctions? What day and time are people most on eBay? If someone could link me to an article or something that would be great. Thanks.

  1. The best time is 4~5 PM on a Sunday.  Have the item up for one week, and during that week many people will "watch" it.  Then the next Sunday, when your item is ending, everyone will be off work, at home, just waiting to bid on the item they've been watching for days.

I read this in an article a while ago, don't remember where though.  Good luck, have fun:)

  2. i don't know how important the starting time really is... but i know you should make the end time convenient for people, like when they get off work or out of school

  3. Honestly I dont think it matters as ebay is worldwide...I always watch what I want til last min anyway.

  4. As another responder said, Sunday evening appears to be the most successful end point for auctions. The 2 articles below come to the same conclusion. One of them even breaks timing down into various item categories. While one of the posters suggested using a one week auction, it is my experience that a ten day auction starting on Thursday evening can be more successful as the item will be seen over 2 weekends, allowing for more bidders/watchers to be attracted.

    Good luck.
