When should I let my baby sleep?

My baby hit his head today pretty hard. It left a little small bruise on his forehead. How long should I wait to let him sleep? And should I look for any signs to take him to his doctor? He is up and running around but I wanna be safe.

You should call your doctor to ask them, but I would wait at least a couple hours. If he starts acting lythargic or confused within those 2 hours after bumping his head, maybe you should go have him checked out. Ice the bump too. It will help with the swelling.

As long as there is no indentation in his head and he is acting fine then let him sleep. Wake him up if he sleeps longer than his usual time.

I have had many many concussion thru out the years and they never kept me from sleeping.

my mom always told me 2 hours...so i'd wait at least that long

You should probably call your doctor, just to be sure.  When I got a minor concussion as an adult, I was vomiting a lot and feeling really dizzy.  Do you see those symptoms?
