When should I move my bleeding heart??

When is a good time to move a bleeding heart? I have one that use to be my mother's she died 7 years ago and I got her bleeding heart,in the last 6 years it has tripled in size.Would it better to transplant it in Spring or Fall?

  1. I divided mine this past spring after it flowered. One of mine has died off for the year. The other is lush and full. If you have one that is still visible you should wait until fall. If you plant it in fall you will get flowers next spring.

    If you do transplant now it will die off, but it will come back next spring.

    So it is up to you It won't hurt it either way.


  2. Move it now, or in the spring, in the fall you won't see it.
