  1. I would start charting your temps and checking your CM.  Google it first to get the basics.

  2. I never get the mucus or cramps like woman talk about, if you go to mymonthlycycles.com it really helps I also ordered the ovulation test strips from early-pregnancy-test.com they are really cheap and you will know precisly when you are ovulating. You should have s*x 2 days before because sperm can live for a few days and then atleast every other day until you are no longer ovulating.

  3. For me, I keep track of my cervical mucus. You can do this throughout your cycle by noting down [even keeping a written record] of its consistency. Just after your period [around 6 days from your 1st day of bleeding] - you should notice very little cm [cervical mucus]. This gradually increases until the cm has the consistency of raw egg whites [graphic but useful picture from google below!] This is when you will be most likely to ovulate within the next few days. The last day you notice this should be the day you have ovulated as your hormones stop the production and even out quickly after ovulation.

Knowing your cycle is very useful for dates and knowing when you should be most fertile. In a 28-day long cycle, you should be most fertile around day 14 - 14 days before the end of your cycle. In a 30-day cycle, this would be day 16 and so on. Online calculators are handy but please remember every woman is different and a 'one size fits all approach' can be misleading. Small factors can cause a woman to ovulate at slightly different times each month - diet, health, stress etc.

More signs of ovulation: middle pain, usually to the left [even though I never experienced this] - this can be a sign of an egg being released. Some people also check the position of their cervix although make sure you're in the same position each time to keep continuity.

    Good luck!!

  4. Most women ovulate 12-16 days before the start of their next period (the average is 14 days).  Some signs you can look for are increased discharge that is watery/thin and has the appearance of egg-whites.  You can also track your basal body temperatures (www.fertilityfriend.org) and/or use an ovulation predictor kit (avaiable at any pharmacy).

  5. A White Silmy/Thick Discharge Before Or After Period..

  6. you ovalate day 11 through day 15 after the first day of your period...so basically when your period ends...you usually ovalate a week after that

  7. Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility or go to www.tcoyf.com to learn how to track your ovulation.
