When should I send out invitations for my son's 1st birthday party?

I always send mine out a month (3-4 weeks) in advance, just to make sure that everyone can make it. I have a 5 and a 3 year old, and most that attend are my friends that have kids and of course family members. This way people have time to take off work, make arrangements, and buy a gift. Have fun! 1 year old, how exciting.

I would send them out within 2/3 weeks before his party to give people some notice, you'll probably get more people to come if you send them out earlier

I sent them out a month in advance,the people I associate myself with are always moving about.They need a full months notice.Most thou send them out two weeks in advance.

Custom 2-weeks, you want your folks to have time to plan around your event.  If you send them to busy people. maybe 3-4weeks.  But if they are that busy, you probably should also send reminder cards or an email about one week before the party.
