When should I sign up for fantasy football?

Hey, I want to start one but I'm thinkin of starting one in late July or August. Is that too early?

Id go ahead and start one now so that you can get everyone signed up in time.  I wouldnt draft until later since so much changes from now til kickoff.

Yahoo IS starting Fantasy Football right now! Hey just because you start it doesn't mean that you have to do the draft right away. It will give you a chance to get players together who want to play. The people that are signing up now are more serious players, less likely to quit early in the season. How about jumping into my league, the Serious Players Keeper League? It's a Head to Head, Live Draft with No Can't Cut List. I'm also going to make it a Keeper League as well if I can get enough serious players together to keep it going for a few seasons.

I have no problem with joining a league this early, but would not join one that drafts before mid-August. There are too many things that can happen between now and the start of the season. For instance, this year it will be interesting to see where the hit and run investigation goes with respect to Lynch or whether there really are more veteran injuries during camp due to the elimination of roster exemptions.
