• Travel: 1hour (all driving around for the day with traffic)

• Bath: 30 Min? (want to relax in the tub as late a possible)

  1. Well lets see I'm getting married  at 12:30pm I'm showering the night before because there's going to be too many people in my house the day of the wedding all trying to get ready in one shower. The girl thats doing my hair is coming to my house because the salon is closed on July 26th so she'll be coming over around 8:30am she'll do mine then my maid of honors hair. Sometime around 9:30-10ish my friend Kelly is coming over to do my makeup. I'll eat before she starts then around 11am my bridesmaid and family will head to the church. I'll be getting dressed there along with my bridesmaids. And Kelly will be at the wedding so if anything happens with my makeup she'll be right there to help. At 12:30pm I'll be walking down the aisle with my Pops. Just relax, your supposed to enjoy your wedding don't get all stressed out and go with the flow.

  2. I made my hair appt as early as possible.  I ended up waiting at the salon for longer than I anticipated.  I would take a bath before applying makeup.  You might even want to wait until you are at your wedding location before putting it on.  You never know what traffic will be like so give  yourself an extra hour of travel time.  Also check with your photographer about how long she/he will need.  I think an hour might not be enough.  Are you doing pics before and some of the familly afterwards?

  3. My wedding was at 3:30pm, and my cousin, who was doing my hair, wanted me ready by 1. I thought he was insane, as that was still 2.5 hours before my wedding!

I woke up at 7 that morning, and hopped in the car to my cousin's hotel. We went off to Wal-Mart to purchase a few items he needed, then zipped back to the hotel room. By 8am, we had begun my hair, which he set up in rollers. His colleague, who is a professional make-up artist, set to work on my eyebrows. Once that was done,  he sent me over to my parents hotel room, and told me to bathe and return, while he worked on my bridesmaids.

At this point, it was 9am, so I got into the tub, shaved, relaxed for a bit, and got out at 9:30am. I went back over to his hotel room, and he immediately began work on my hair, having already finished my maid of honors. At noon, he finished, and sent me to have my makeup done. By 1pm, as he wanted, I was done. The next 2.5 hours flew by so quickly. Once my brother (who was a groomsman) left for the church at 1:30, I went to my parents hotel room, accompanied by my cousin, his colleague, and my bms, where they helped me get dressed. Then the photos began, and suddenly, it was time to get in the car and go to the church!

You should leave yourself an hour to two hours of free space somewhere, for "just in case"s, touchups or down time. I didn't actually sit down and eat a meal, but I nibbled throughout my sitting time, ie having my hair done, and when I was waiting around, which worked pretty well for me. So start as early as you can, and be finished as early as you can. Getting dressed won't take long, my dress had a corset back and I was dressed in 10 minutes, including my veil. Have a test run, to see how long getting dressed will take you, and then you can allot more time to something else, like your extra spare time. GOod luck!
