I started a diet two weeks ago ( lost about 4 pounds. I cut my fast food and fatty calorie intake by about 800-1000 and I started to eat healthy somewhat. I haven't drunk soda and I only drink milk, OJ, and water (about 3 20oz bottles a day). I exercise 5x's a week doing medium (300 calories each workout I lose) cardio for 30 minutes and light weight lifting 3 day's a week. When should i start seeing my improvements on my body? I am 6'2 and I weight 185.5 now, yea i sound skinny but i have man b***s and a small pot belly. Man b***s was never a problem with me until I gain weight so its not genetic. I'm getting discourage because I don't see a body difference but only thing I have lost is 4 pounds.

  1. You should start seeing fat loss soon. The weight is not the issue it is going to go up possibly stay around the same due to working out. Fat will start to fall every where and the last place to see results will be belly fat and your "man b***s". This will take several weeks to a few months on the proper diet and exercises plan. Keep it up and you should be in better shape soon. Brake the diet and that will add more time to your plan you can gain fat back way faster than you can burn it off. Your body needs to metabolize it's stored fat before you will see a change in shape.

  2. Four pounds in two weeks is actually very good.  People who lose more than two pounds per week aren't just losing fat.  They're also losing either water weight or muscle mass.  Bad news either way.  You've made some sensible changes to your diet, and you're getting a healthy amount of exercise.  It sounds as if you're doing all the right things.  It's especially good that you're doing some weight training.  That will preserve your muscle mass while you lose fat.  (Make sure that you're doing exercises for your legs, not just for your upper body.  75% of your muscle mass is in your lower body.)

Keep up the good work, and be patient!  Losing fat the healthy way takes time.

  3. It takes time to lose weight.  It took time to gain weight, so it is going to take time to lose weight.  Nevertheless, just keep it up, and you will eventually get there.

  4. it depends. the best way to get rid of the fat and get a slim built body, is to do what the army does during basic. exercise for two weeks and then take a four day break and repeat along with your diet. when you exercise for a longtime uninterrupted the body gets used to the stress and burns less fat cells. so stop and start to trick the body.

  5. Losing weight is results.

You'll probably see results a lot faster if you do heavier weightlifting.  No point in doing light weightlifting.  Go heavy and push yourself, it's not like you're going to wake up one day and look like a grotesque 'roided-out body builder, you'll just start seeing results faster.
