When should I take these SAT Subject Tests...?

First of all;

if we know that we can do well on X SAT IIs, does that mean that we take X amount?

Because I've been hearing lately that we should focus on the SAT IIs and only take the subjects you might be interested in majoring in D=.

Secondly; I'm taking AP US History next year...is it recommended for me to take the SAT US History at the end of next year as well?

I'm also taking Advanced Pre-Calc next year...is it recommended for me to take the SAT Math IIC next year?

(this "next year" = my sophomore year).

Thank you all in advance, for your experience and knowlege in this area!

  1. Well I just ended my Sophmore Year and I had taken AP WOrld histroy. then I took the SATs for World History and got a 700. &I didnt study or anything thats just from the course.

    MY boyfirend had taken AP US histroy and then the SATs for it and he gotta 72. Soo I woudl recommend it.

    But I took Advanced Clac last year, my 2nd year, too and really it is not related at all to the math on the SATs. Like the SAts are all geometry algebra Oen& two and on the Math II's theres liek statistics and other stuff. So I woudl say reveiw. Once preclac clogs up your brain its almost hard to tghink in any other way.

    Oh and colleges liek to see abotu two Subject tests. SO I woudl say take liek three so that you have one to fal back on.

    Good luck!

  2. SAT and ACT preparation links:

    While the SAT and ACT are very different tests, they both fulfill the same role in the admissions process. The SAT and ACT are designed to provide college admissions officers with two things: a predictor of first-year academic achievement in college, and a common yardstick to use in comparing students from a wide range of educational backgrounds.
