  1. My daughter's the same, she's five now and beginning to learn how to spell words by hearing me tell her the letter instead of showing her. If you want him to start learning about himself, get blank index cards and write different words of things you can point at while showing him the word. Like sun, nose, ears, mouth, eyes, hair...I'm sure you get the idea. My daughter was spelling her own name at three. It was messy sure, but it was legible. That's the best thing you can do for him right now, make it play time. When he's done let him move onto other things, and you'll be amazed at how quickly he learns to identify the things around him. The first day I took my daughter to preschool her teachers were amazed that she could recognize colors, letters, shapes, and numbers. Turns out that I was doing the right thing, by making it playtime, she never realized she was learning. She actually asked to go to preschool. We were just going to wait until she hit her kindergarten age, but she was ready to go before then, so we went and enrolled her soon thereafter. The best thing I can recommend is just try and keep up with him, because obviously he has a higher learningg curve than the average. It's exciting when they feel like learnin is playing, and they learn much faster too without even realizing it. Praise him even when he may say the wrong thing, just tell him almost, good try! They suck it up like little sponges.

  2. he's advanced. they would know this at pre-school, which is at age 3-4

  3. Sounds like Momma or granny or doing an awesome job.  Speaking as a teacher...one of the best things for a child to have some experience in when they start school is writing.  Let your 2 year old write and learn to hold a pencil (crayon).

  4. It sounds like he is doing great and is smart. Keep working with him on fun things, don't force anything.

  5. not so sure i think like  2 his age or older as he gets older the more he knows about it thats a hard question sorry i couldnt answer

  6. Probably by preschool or kindergarten

my cousin knew his colors and shapes by the end of preschool

  7. My daughter was the same way at two and was advanced all the way through her school career.  I didn't get her any special  kind of help though - it's the teacher's job to keep your child challenged.

We teach shapes and colors in preschool at the age or 3 and more at 4 and 5 - just keep reading to your grandson and keep him active.  Good luck.

  8. my little bro (3 yrs old in less than a month) knows all the colors, and a square, circle, triangle, star... i would say the limit is 4-5yrs old...

ps my bro is potty trained already :)

  14. Usually around 2-3 they can start recognizing colors and differences in shapes

  15. Depending on the child, 2 if you're lucky, 4 at the oldest.

  16. I dont know

  17. grade 1.

  18. You can handle teaching him everything he needs to know and when he is 3 or 4 I would suggest preschool just to interact with other children.  He sounds right on track.  He may be a little ahead but what you should be looking at is how easily he catches on.  Did you drill it into him and now he knows it?  Or did you tell him a few times and he picked it up?  I can't say this enough, READ READ READ  keep your child ahead by reading to him and letting him pretend to read to you.

  19. probably around the middle of kindergarden

  20. By age 5 or 6!
