When should a person receive their household goods?

my family is PCSing to Alaska....coming to get our Household goods on the 21st when do you think we should recieve them in Alaska?

It will get there when the Bekins semi tractor trailer in which you loaded your household goods in, arrives in Alaska!

When the pick up appointment was scheduled, transportation should have given you an estimated delivery date.  Stop by (don't call) the transportation office and just ask when your expected delivery date.  Make sure you plan your unaccompanied baggage with necessities versus the wants.  You may need to live out of that for awhile.  Contact the housing office in Alaska and ask if they offer temporary furniture.  Most OCONUS assignments offer this because of the wait times.  Remember this is prime moving time and things take a little longer.  I am on week 9 from Germany to Texas.

Takes a month to get household goods here in alaska. I shipped mine the same day I left and got them a month to the day on the scheduled delivery day.

Everyone that came around the same time as me also got theirs a month after they shipped them.  They should give you a delivery date.

Alaska is considered an overseas move and it can take up to 6-8 weeks for it to get there.
