  1. Bed wetters usually fall into such a deep sleep not even wetting the bed wakes them up. My son was 15 when he quit.

  2. my sister peed the bed ..until her wedding night..then she stopped....

  3. Some kids grow faster than their bladder grows, not uncommon.  It sounds like there is a family history of it.

  4. until they want to stop

  5. you mit want to takeyour son and girl to the docters they could or have ended up with a blader problem

  6. I wouldn't worry so much about what is normal. I think though that you should have them both checked out by a doctor. It could be a medical problem. If it is there are a lot of options for dealing with this type of problem and medication to help. Good luck.

  7. Okay...your daughter who is 6 yrs. old there isn't anything to worry about.  According to WEB MD doctors don't even consider it a problem until after 7 yrs. old.  My son who is 5 yrs. old was still having accidents (only at night) and his step dad thought there was a problem....NO.  Sometimes there is a psychological reason behind it but many times their bladder hasn't developed yet.  I was told with my son to exercise his bladder have him try stop going to the bathroom during the day..kinda stopping mid-stream and then start again.  I also limit drinks in the evening.  I give him his dinner drink probably 6 oz.  Then that is it besides the water he gets when he brushes his teeth prior to bedtime.  I also would get him up every two hours to go to the bathroom until I went to bed.  I started to cut back the every 2 hr. thing as he got better.  Now, he goes to the bathroom prior to bed time and he is fine.  I do still limit the amount he drinks.

Your 13 yr. old..does he wet the bed all the time or just some of the time.  If it is all the time I would consult a doctor if it is only a few times I would watch what he had to drink that night and maybe cut or limit that.

  8. Sounds like a genetic problem.  I'm sure you've talked to the doctor - it's probably normal for your children, but wouldn't be for others.  Kids are so different from each other.  Don't worry about what's average.  Who wants to be average, anyway?

  9. I too had this problem.  Talk to the dr. and please don't take your frustration of having to change sheets out on the kids.  I remember being 7 years-old and stripping my bed and trying to do laundry in the garage at 3 a.m.  I was crying the entire time because I knew my mom would be angry and I was scared about being in the scary garage at night.  I have some pretty traumatic memories of events that were caused by my bedwetting.  I mean really, did my mom think I wanted to get screamed at every morning?  Or that I wanted to be forced to go to school smelling like pee because she thought that would embarass me enough to make me stop?  Anyway.  Talk to your children's dr.  My mom got my 13 year old brother on a steroid nasal spray for a while and he stopped.  He didn't have to take the nasal spray for very long.  It is also hereditary and could be linked to any emotional stress.  I am not saying that there is any in your home, but it definitely existed in my childhood home.

  10. My brother was wetting his bed until he was about 9-10. My parents got this special ordered under blanket when you wet the bed an alarm will go off (loud). It took about a month and he stopped. It takes practice to learn to get up. Also no drinks past 6 pm. and have them pee before the go to bed even if they say they dont have too!
