  1. OK Question: If he turned up to meet you with a ring, and went down on one knee and asked you to marry him, what would your reaction be? If oh, yes!!!! go for it.

    If no, there's your answer.

Hope this helps., and God bless you

  2. forever is a long time to be wearing the wrong ring. its hard to base a life long decision on a year relationship. you definately have to communicate better with your boyfriend. you don't just go with the flow when it comes to getting engaged or married.

  3. Let him know how you feel without making it about the two of you.  Trying telling him about a "friend" you know that got engaged after a year.  Say things like:

"Don't you think that's too soon?"

"I think people should let a relationship develop before they go through the stress of planning a wedding."

"They should be savoring all the fun of dating."

Don't scare him into never wanting to propose.  Just send the message that you're the kind of girl who wants to be more sure about a commitment like that.  So to let him know when he SHOULD propose, make sure that you give him a better time frame:

"I think two or three years would be more appropriate...don't you think so?"

Also, after you get engaged set a date right away!  It could be a year from now, it could be five years from now, but set a date!
