  1. If you are sharing a room with your child at 1, you should move him to his room immediately so he can learn to sleep on his own.  The sooner the better.  I moved all my children into their room around 3-4 months.  It helps them sleep through the night because there aren't the noises of you, even when you are sleeping you make noises.

As far as the crib... my daughter is 20 months and we are moving her out of the crib, because my 2 month old is about to go into it.  My son stayed in the crib until 2 1/2 when he started trying to get out of it.  I think 1 is too young to take him out of the crib.  18 months at the earliest... but if you can wait longer I would.  I wouldn't move him to his own room and into a bed at the same time... too much change all at once.

    Good Luck

  2. Into his own room, definitely.  A child can sleep in their own room from birth.

Out of a crib depends upon the child.   I did between two and three when they were showing an interested in "Big Kid" things.

  3. I think you can move him into his own room at anytime- if you're implying that he's in your bedroom.  That's a hard cycle to break.  Some people get rid of the crib as soon as the child starts climing out.  My kids never tried to get out, so around 2, I started using a toddler bed (still uses the crib mattress) and then eventally got a twin bed with a railing around age 3.  If he's getting out of his crib at a young age, I'd get rid of the crib, get a toddler bed and get a gate on his room so he doesn't roam around at night and get hurt.

  4. Into his own room:  now.

Out of his crib:  not yet.  You'll be able to tell when he is ready.  I would say between 2 and 3 but only you will know for sure.
