When should i request applications for college in order to go into the 2009-2010 school year?

I am a senior now in high school and i was wondering when would be the best time to start applying to colleges? Both cal state, and uc

no january is too late...apply really early because it will all stack up quick! Especially if you want to apply to a lot of colleges, also it depends if you want to apply for summer, fall, or spring term! I recommend summer term, thats what I'm doing now and it really helps get you acclimated to the school early!

the best time for you is to start now requesting applications for colleges.  this way you will have time to fill them out and have a chance to receive scholarship money.  the earliest you turn your application materials in the better chance you have in getting funded.  but i would recommend you to turn in your applications materials no later than November of this year.

It's always best to apply for college during your junior year of high school because you may have more than 2 schools on your list that you want to attend.  Plus, you will need to take time for your summer break to visit schools that may be far away from your home or home state.  However, if you apply right now, it may not be too late because the deadline to apply for ALL universities' fall semester or quarter are usually between January and March of that year.  Besides, the college can only accept so many freshman for the fall semester.  So, make sure you look into the schools you want to attend and find out when the deadline is to apply for the fall semester of 2009.  You can look on your college of choice website for that info.  Hope this helps you and good luck to you.

Talk to your career counsellor in school in September.  You'll find it's anywhere from November - April, so ask him/her, and they'll know for sure.

You can also go to Cal State and UC's websites and look there, although it may be hard to get the answer.
