When should i sell my 2007 Scion tc?

so i bought my 2007 scion tc is summer of 2006, i like the car its a great coupe but i always like the 2004-2006 Corollas, and i want to get a corolla in that year range of course it will be used now. would it be better to keep the car for few more years or sell it now, when will i get the most money from it, it has 12,000 miles on it now.

  1. Drive the Scion forever if you can.  The longer you drive, the more money you save.  10 years from now you can get the Corolla for next to nothing if you want, but always buy what you want and drive it as long as possible.


  2. It all depends on how long you financed it, what your interest rate is and the model of the car.  We know one of them.

    If you financed the car for 60 months at about 5-6% interest, you should break even about 3 years after you bought the car.

    Longer finance periods and higher interest rates make your 'break even point' longer.  

  3. You have a decent car right now. Why chase the after a used car instead of this.

    Although corollas are great, every other person seems to drive it. Makes it a Me Too car. Scions on the other hand stand out. So why rock the boat ?

    Besides you inherit problems of used cars anyway ? No warranty possibly. IMHO don't do it.
