  1. I started brushing my daughters teeth the first time her teeth broke threw, when she was just bottle fed it was just one time a day,but now that she eats all kinds of things its 3 times a day.

  2. As soon as they have teeth, you should begin brushing them with your finger at least.  If you can, get one of the baby toothbrushes and use that if your baby's mouth is big enough.   Use just baby toothpaste, any brand. The kind WITHOUT flouride. Once a day is fine, since she only has a few teeith and a very limited diet! Have fun!

  3. a child should be given a  toothbrush as soon as they can hold it - BEFORE they have teeth. It's as important to brush the gums and tongue as the teeth.

Give the toothbrush to the baby EVERY time ANY one else in the house is brushing their teeth. My Grand-daughter cleans her teeth up to 6 times a day and she loves it - copies us all now, trying to move her arm up and down (8 months 'old'!).

However, her Mummy 'helps' her clean her 3 teeth twice a day just because, usually left to her own devices, baby will mostly just suck on the toothbrush!

    Best wishes, H x

  4. My daughter just turned one and she has 2 teeth. I just started brushing them twice a day. The stores sell training toothpaste (that's what it's called) for kids who don't know how to spit out the toothpaste yet. It's safe to swallow. Their is no fluoride in it and you can buy soft bristle toothbrushes too. My daughter loves getting her teeth brushed. It's good to brush all of the gums too. It will help with future teeth that still have to come in.

  5. Just use a level 1 tooth brush with soft bristles, and use baby tooth paste but NOTHING with fluoride

  6. Babies should have their teeth brushed as soon as they have teeth. Baby orajel makes a little finger brush with a little tube of baby toothpaste, or you can get orajel training toothpaste with a soft kids brush. Just NO flouride As far as how many times a day, they say you should brush you toddlers teeth twice a day. I have 13 month old little boy with 6 teeth and I brush them whenever he gets a bath (which is at least twice a day, sometimes three because he is learning how to use a spoon at meals, and he LOVES baths!) She may not like it at first but what I started doing with mine is doing it myself first with lots of praise and encouragement then when I'm  I give him the brush and tell him its "his turn" and let him pretend he is brushing his teeth. (he pretty much just chews on it) They don't have to rinse and spit or anything with the baby toothpaste or training toothpaste so you can let her do it as long as she wants. Just make sure when you do it, you do it gently, and brush the gums too if she'll let you because bacteria builds up there too.

  7. Start brushing right away to get her used to it. Use a baby toohbrush and floride free baby toothpaste.

  8. You should have started brushing them as soon as she got the first tooth, go to a store in the baby section, and buy her a tooth brush. They have special toothpaste for little kids, it have no flouride so if safe on their tummy. Just read the back, and follow the directions.

  9. Get a soft child's toothbrush; brushing with just water after each meal (or at least in the AM and PM) is sufficient. You can also use a nonfloride toothpaste if you want.

  10. you should start as soon as possible using a very narrow soft toothbrush. use non fluoride toothpaste like orajel so she can let you brush. make sure you brush her gums too.

mothers need to start cleaning their babies gums since birtj with a washcloth to get used to cleaning their kids teeth.

brush her teeth twice a day and avoid juice and sweets.
