  1. not too early. if he'll attempt it, then go for it. treat him every time he pottys.

  2. It can't hurt if he seems interested- when you say signs, does he squirm or tell you he has to pee?  At that age sometimes they'll sit for a while and then pee or p**p but often don't connect the sensation of being about to "go" with getting to the potty.  My daughter would often imitate the other toddlers in her daycare class by going to sit on the potty- as early as 16 months. But nothing really "stuck" until several months later. So it can't hurt to get a potty but I wouldn't have high expectations at that age.

  3. at this point if you push him too hard it could cause him to have issues about it later. I have a friend that started potty training at 18 mths and he did really good but she would freak out if he didn't make it to the toilet to p**p, he is 7 now and he will hold his bowel movements for 2-3 days and when he does go it's painful. It sounds like your son wants to try it out but if he loses intrest in it (which is what happened to my daughter) just tell him that's ok and try again when he turns 2 as long as he potty trained by 3 I don't think that you need to really put alot of effort into it right now.

  4. It's never too early.  I have been putting my daughter on her Dora potty since she was 6 months.  I put her there every afternoon after a nap and she sits there and we read or play puppets until she does poopies....usually about 5-7 minutes.  She loves it....and now she is independently walking over to it at 15 months.

    Good luck!

  5. take him to the potty every two hours and praise him when he uses the potty and when he has had a dry diaper for a long period of time.

If he is ready to potty train then it is not too early.

  6. If your son shows the signs of wanting to use the bathroom then start training. Just know that even if he does go to the bathroom he might regress later on and start having accidents again.
