when should i start preparing for the SATs? also, what level math/science do they test on? i've already started learning some new vocab over the course of freshman year and at my school, we take the PSATs freshman and sophomore year (so i kind of know what to expect), but when should i start seriously studying?

  1. Well you should start studying for the PSATs right now. They are coming in october. I still say it is a little to early for a sophomore to study for the SATs. I think you should start studying in the summer right before you go to 11 grade. If you want to start right now then vocab is the best thing to learn. You should keep learning new words because knowing vocab can seriously increase your critical reading score tremendously.

  2. Sophomore year is good to start. Middle-sophomore year, I'd say.

Most people start seriously studying near the end of sophomore year and in their junior year.
