When should i take toefl in order to apply for fall 2009?

i have booked my gre on oct 20..i am planning to take toefl in november.

is it late? can i apply to universities without toefl and then send scores

The moment you feel confident. It is a very easy exam if you are good at English.

You will be asked for your GRE and TOEFL scores when you would be applying.

If you feel confident then take it before your GRE, that way you are more relaxed for your GRE exam.
