I have two 10(?) month old parakeets. I know for sure that one is a male and I just found out that the other is a female. When should they moult? And how long after that will I be able to know for sure that my female is in fact a female? (Here cere is pink, with some blue...)

  1. Birds molt constantly - one feather at a time.  There may be times in the fall when they molt a bit more.  See, in the wild they would never lose many feathers at one time or they would become food for some predator.
