I am contesting a speeding fine, when I went to the Magistrates Court I wasn't handed the Brief of Evidence till I walked into the dock.

Is there a time frame as to when the Brief is given to the defendant?

Thanks

  1. You need to requestt it, if you plan to contest the validity of the detection device you must give 21 days notice (in QLD aust. at least)

  2. speeding fines are civil citations and do not require the same rules as criminal trials your are not going to get what you are looking for until you go to court and are standing in front of the judge
