  1. You should have definetly started earlier....I'm already planning for college and i'm going to be a freshman.  But as early as you can...there's so many "hoops" you have to jump through it's way better to give yourself time. Plus, the gov is more likely to be more accuarte because the applications aren't flooding in early on. Good luck.


  2. Depends on which one it is. Mine is FAFSA (I'm in CA) and you have to apply for it before July for the next year. Like if I applied for it last month its good for the 2008-2009 school year.

  3. Immediately after your parents file their taxes, because you'll need that data.

    Try to get your parents to file as soon as possible to maximize the financial aid office's funding options for you.

  4. go to FAFSA.com.... and check there...it varies for each State...if your in NY its after January 1st

  5. submit the fafsa in january, as soon as you or your parents have your taxes done (get the taxes done early)
