  1. depends on how much he poops and pees you should clean it i think maybe every few days or when you think he needs a cleaner cage.

but do not leave the cage all dirty to a point were it smells or it's all wet, think of the poor guinea pig too.

  2. wtf once a week do yhuu not no anything

some people wou say everyday but thats stupid try every 3-4 days i do then the hutch stays nice and clean :-D

  3. i would clean it out once every week

  4. When it starts to smell. I use fleece for bedding, so I spot clean at least once a day, you can use either a vacuum or a little dust pan and brush. I wash the fleece and towels once a week. But if I had aspen or care fresh I would still spot clean every few days and do an overall cleaning once a week.

  5. Clean out ALL the bedding once a week and everyday clean out just the p**p and pee

  6. It would probably be best to clean it once a week.  I've never had one, but I've had other caged animals, mostly frogs and cleaned their cage  AT LEAST once a week.  If they live in nasty cages, they can get sick.

  7. when ever it gets dirty

  8. if you can't find it, the article says once a week

  9. They are known for their digging and burrowing. To keep your guinea pig healthy, it is imperative you keep it's cage clean especially if you are feeding it fresh fruits and veggies. Neglecting to change the bedding can inhibit mold growth, and that can make your little friend VERY sick. I would suggest that you empty it out and add new bedding AT LEAST once a week. And change the food water and treat dishes daily. Besides, you will want to keep the cage clean, guinea pigs have very pungent urine!! STINKY! Make sure that when you clean the cage, you use a mild detergent free of ammonia or bleach, otherwise it an cause them to loose their fur from skin irritation.

Good luck to you and your new little friend!

  10. When I had guinea pigs, I cleaned out their cage TWICE a week.

The more often you clean out their cage, the better. (:

  11. once a week or when ever it looks dirty or starting to smell cleaning it should be good :) i hope this helps

  12. When it gets stinky! Usually a good idea would be to change it at least once a week. If it's really wet, more often.

  13. I clean out my guinea pigs cage once a week.

My friend on the other hand cleans it out twice a week.

    Whichever on you prefer.

So half a week (not so smelly)- full week (real smelly)

  14. umm when it gets dirty ?

  15. when it starts to smell

    or looking dirty

    try once a week

but every guinea pig is different some p**p and pee more than others.

  16. Once a week is great.  Plain and Simple. :]

  17. You should clean the cage at least once a week, but clean it more if it gets overly soiled or smelly.  You should give the food and water dishes a good scrubbing at the same time you clean the cage as well.

  18. Clean it out once a week!

    Hope I Helped!
