When should you usualy get a child off a dummy/soother/pacifier?

My son has a dummy but is only 5 month. He has 2 bottom teeth now also should he be taken off his dummy.... or at what age is a resonable age?

Don't agree with dummies, i've had 4 kids and never gave them a dummy, dirty habit and lazy parents, that's all you need is give them your love instead.
