We don't reach Australia until 2 months into our travels. Is a bank statement with our $5000 in dated 2 months previous allowed??

The account will have over €10,000 when its printed?? Thanks

  1. I stayed for 3 months (and what a great stay i had) on my tourist visa and was never asked to provide proof of funds. Not sure what visa your apply for though?

  2. The point is that you have to show proof of funds. Its not hard to work out what that means.

  3. We were never asked for proof of funds both times we travelled to Australia, we were asked if we more than the allowed amount and that was it.

  4. The idea behind having to do this is proving that you have funds to support your entire stay in the country.

It might be worth having an updated statement at the time you travel just in case!

    Good luck

  5. It would have to be a current printout.

  6. You're probably applying for a working holiday visa? This AU$5,000 fund is needed as proof that you can support your trip to Australia and purchase a return airfare.
