When sitting down, why does our butt get numb when sitting on the floor, but not on a chair?

  1. Probably because of the form of your body. when your on a chair, your evened out, but on the floor, your posture is a lot different.


  2. I guess you sit there too long.   When I sit on the floor my legs and feet go numb.

  3. Because on a chair they are designed for a butt, so they aren't likely to cut off some blood to the butt (padded chairs are even better for this)

    where as floors are a  hard surface for your shoes, which tend to be flat so that's going to cut of veins and/or arteries in your butt.

  4. it all depends on how hard is the material you sit on...if you sit on a comfy chair of course that your butt won't get numb but if you sit on concrete,stones,etc your butt wont feel to well

  5. that never happens to me.
